Silverchair’s “Tomorrow” became a surprise hit, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in June 1995, and making Australian teen musicians Daniel Johns, Ben Gillies, and Chris Joannou unlikely rock stars.
In the book Love & Pain, Gillies recalled that the song was born from a jam session with Johns and Joannou in his childhood bedroom.
