2026 Virginia LC Age Group Championships
July 16-19, 2026 Lynchburg, VA LCM ResultsThe Virginia Long Course Age Group Championships proved to be a nice move up both the all-time and season rankings in the boys’ 13-14 age group for Jack Danahy.
The 14-year-old for Nova of Virginia Aquatics set personal best times in eight events, most notably clocking a personal best time of 24.26 in the 50 free to move up to 66th all-time in the boys’ 13-14 age group. This season, Danahy now ranks 4th in that event.
Danahy also set personal bests in the 50 back (27.83), 100 back (59.99), 200 back (2:14.63), 200 IM (2:13.19), 100 breast (1:08.39), 50 fly (26.40) and 200 free (2:02.76).
In addition to the 50 free, Danahy this season in the boys’ 13-14 age group ranks 9th in the 50 back and 12th in the 100 back.
Other individual standouts at the meet were:
Daniel Bunge, a 13-year-old for Nova of Virginia Aquatics, moved to 70th all-time in the boys’ 13-14 group in the 100 fly, clocking a personal best time of 57.07. The time ranks 4th this season in the boys’ 13-14 age group. Bunge also moved up to the 95th all-time and 6th this season in the 200 free for the boys’ 13-14 age group, swimming a personal best time of 1:56.37. In addition, Bunge had personal best times in the 100 free (53.95), 50 fly (26.36), 200 fly (2:08.42) and the 400 IM (4:47.97). In the girls’ competition, 12-year-old Yara Tsybulina from Nova of Virginia Aquatics moved up this season’s rankings in the girls’ 11-12 age group in multiple events. Tsybulina clocked personal best times in the 50 free (27.97), 200 free (2:10.95), 400 free (4:39.05), 50 fly (30.15), 100 fly (1:06.73) and 200 IM (2:30.34). This season in the girls’ 11-12 age group, Tsybulina is 4th in the 50 free, 6th in the 200 free, 9th in the 400 free, 14th in the 100 fly and 16th in the 200 IM. Also on the girls’ side, 11-year-old Lily Fatt of Nova of Virginia Aquatics had personal best times in the 400 IM (5:25.50), 200 IM (2:32.66), 200 breast (2:55.77), 100 breast (1:22.42), 50 breast (37.35), 100 back (1:11.91), 400 free (4:52.59) and 100 free (1:04.09).
