Coroner’s officials have identified the teenage girl who died after she was found unconscious in a hot tub in Crown Point, Indiana, on Wednesday morning.
Around 8:24 a.m., Crown Point police officers responded to a residence on the 1000 block of East Greenwood Avenue after receiving a report of an unresponsive juvenile in a hot tub, authorities said.
Life-saving measures were attempted by emergency personnel when they arrived at the scene. However, the 14-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office on Friday identified the teen as Avery Harding, of Crown Point.
Police are continuing to investigate.
