Amazon Prime users could be entitled to new round of payments as part of a $2.5 billion antitrust settlement with the Federal Trade Commission, but time is running out to file a claim.
The additional payouts stem from a settlement approved in 2025 that said the online retail giant tricked customers into signing up for its Prime memberships and made it difficult for them to cancel after doing so. As part of the suit, $1.5 billion will be paid back to customers who were unintentionally enrolled in Prime or were deterred from canceling their subscriptions.
Amazon has continued to deny wrongdoing in the suit.
Some users got automatic refunds as part of the settlement during the first payout phase in 2025. But in order to receive the second, you’ll need to file a claim.

How to get a payment in the Amazon Prime settlement
In order to get paid in this round, you’ll need to meet all four qualifications below:
You are a U.S. consumer who signed up for Prime. You unintentionally enrolled in a Prime membership through a “challenged enrollment method” between June 23, 2019 – June 23, 2025; or you tried to cancel your Prime membership through the online cancellation process from June 23, 2019 – June 23, 2025, but were unable to do so. You used less than 10 Prime benefits (e.g., delivery, shopping, streaming, reading, and other benefits provided to Prime members) during any 12-month period of enrollment in Prime. You did not receive an automatic payment as part of the settlement already.How to file a claim
“If you are eligible to submit a claim, you will receive a notice either by email or in the mail,” the settlement website said. “The notice will provide instructions on how to submit a claim.”
According to the settlement website, anyone eligible to file a claim was contacted on or before Jan. 28, 2026. Claims can be filed online here.
The deadline to submit a claim is Monday, July 27, 2026.
How much could you get?
Those who get their claim approved will receive up to $51, the settlement website said, but payments could be less based on other refunds or credits.
Amazon has 30 days to review each claim once it is received, and payments will go out by September.
