ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester hosted multiple events on Thursday evening; this included Party in the Park, Dinner on the Bridge, and Happy Hour at the Plaza. You can see more upcoming events in our community calendar.
Party in the Park
Blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Samantha Fish performed at Party in the Park at MLK Park. The Adam Ezra Group, a folk and Americana soul group, opened the show.
A huge crowd came out to see her and Adam Ezra Group. News10NBC’s Brett Davidsen was honored to help introduce the bands. The summer concert series takes place every Thursday at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park through Aug. 13. This year’s lineup includes both nationally touring artists and local artists across multiple genres.

Last week, Party in the Park was canceled due to air quality concerns from wildfires.
Happy Hour at the Plaza
A free community event brought music and culture to Rochester’s International Plaza on North Clinton Avenue Thursday.
“Happy Hour at the Plaza” featured Latin jazz and DJ performances by Frankie’s Latin Jazz Trio and music from DJ Gaby. Organizers accepted donations to help fund earthquake recovery efforts in Venezuela.
The plaza hosts “Market Sundays,” weekly throughout the summer. This Sunday, July 26, the plaza is hosting the “El Calle Ocho Cruise-In / Car Show,” from 1 to 5 p.m.
Dinner on the Bridge
Hundreds gathered for this year’s “Dinner on the Bridge” as the unique event returned to the city’s High Falls neighborhood.
For one evening, Rochester’s Pont de Rennes Bridge was transformed into a dining and entertainment hotspot. The event was a celebration of the upcoming High Falls State Park.
Construction of the park’s first phase is set to begin this fall.
