ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 16-year-old previously arrested and an 18-year-old are facing charges following a traffic stop on Rochester’s northeast side.
Rochester Police say they stopped a Toyota Corolla at around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday on North Clinton Avenue for vehicle and traffic violations.
During the stop, police say they recovered a 9mm “ghost gun” loaded with 20 rounds in an extended magazine. Police took both the driver and passenger into custody.
The 16-year-old is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees. He was arraigned and released. According to police, this 16-year-old was arrested on weapon charges in January for illegally having a firearm.
The 18-year-old, Jouseph Garcia-Hernandez, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees, along with multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
Police say he was arraigned Thursday morning and is in Monroe County Jail.
