BRIGHTON, N.Y. — Brighton Police say an employee at the Holiday Inn Express on East Henrietta Road was told by a fake owner to steal money from the business.
Police say the employee was contacted by someone Saturday morning claiming to be the hotel’s owner, and was told to break into a safe.
Investigators say the employee did take money from the business to try and send to the person claiming to be the business owner.
No arrests have been made and police are still investigating.
