2026 North Carolina Senior Championships
July 9-12, 2026 Triangle Aquatic Center, Cary, NC LCM (50 meters) “2026 NC LC SR Championships” on Meet MobileSeveral of North Carolina’s best and brightest talents in the pool gathered in Cary for the 2026 North Carolina Senior Championships. Among the biggest standouts from the competition was North Carolina State’s Kennedy Noble, who swept the sprint backstrokes and added a lifetime best in the 50 fly.
Noble secured her wins in both the 50 and 100 back, touching in 28.43 and 1:00.44, respectively. Both of which are well off her career bests in those events of 27.66 in the 50 back and 58.55 in the 100. Though those times didn’t make a dent in her personal record book, she would swim a career-fastest time in the 50 fly in 27.55, a more than half-second drop from her previous best time from the MAC Charlotte Open in May of 2025 in 28.16.
Team Charlotte Swimming’s Matej Dusa wiped away a pair of career bests in Cary. In the 50 free, Dusa came away with the win in 21.87, a time that not only marks a personal best, but also moves him into a tie with Jonny Kulow for the 25th fastest performer in the world this season. His previous best time in the event came at the 2024 World Championships in 22.11. He also finished 2nd in the fly in another lifetime best of 24.59, touching only behind Seb Lunak of the North Carolina Aquatic Club by four hundredths of a second in 24.55.
Lunak’s North Carolina Aquatic Club teammate, Xavier Ruiz, a rising junior at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, was a three-time winner in Cary, earning victories in the 100 breast (1:01.42), 200 breast (2:13.02), and the 400 IM (4:24.53).
Finishing just behind Ruiz was his UNC teammate Ben Delmar in 1:01.82. Though that time did not mark a season or personal best, he finished the prelims of the 50 fly, where he touched 8th overall in 25.63, which was his fastest-ever time.
Reigning women’s 100 breast NCAA Champion Eneli Jefimova continued to shine in Cary, clocking a winning 100 breast time of 1:07.32. That time sits about a second off her season-best time of 106.37 from the AP Race in London in May, which puts her in a tie for 12th in the world this season in the event. Her career fastest sits at 1:05.81 from the AP Race in May of 2025.
