VICTOR, N.Y. — Neighbors in Victor are still cleaning up damage from severe thunderstorms that hit the area Saturday.

News10NBC’s Declan Stablow found people working in their yards and homes along East Main Street on Sunday. The road remained closed, with piles of tree limbs and debris lining the street.
Neighbors used chainsaws and leaf blowers to clear their properties. A large tree still blocked the sidewalk down the street.
Several houses had tree limbs scattered on top of them and throughout their yards. Declan saw a shed crushed by a branch and several damaged cars.
Some neighbors lost power from Saturday afternoon until Sunday. Neighbors said utility crews worked all day fixing broken power lines.
Telephone poles that were broken on Saturday have been repaired. Neighbors of all ages helped each other clean up.
“Has been awesome. I mean, it’s been great to have, well, I know probably 30 people here helping us out. So everyone really rally that we can. Very, we’re very grateful for that,” said Mike Fink.
The Village of Victor released a statement saying cleanup efforts will continue over the next few days. Officials urged people to use caution when traveling through the village.
More than 2,000 people lost power in the area during the storms. That number has since dropped to about 200.
