July 16-19, 2026 Columbus, Ohio LCM (50 meters) Meet Mobile “2026 Central Zone East Summer Speedo Sectiona” Day 1 Recap Day 2 RecapEmily Brown swam to two wins on night three of Columbus Sectionals. After already winning the 200 free in a lifetime best on day 2, Brown captured the 400 free and 200 fly on night 3. She swam to a 4:12.88 400 free, dropping five seconds off her previous best of a 4:17.91 that she swam in June 2025 at US Nationals. Her time from Columbus would have made the ‘B’ final at 2025 US Nationals. Brown also swam to a win in the 200 fly, touching in a 2:10.13, just off her lifetime best 2:09.68.
Also swimming to a win on the girls side was Lindi Worrell, the younger sister of Olympic medalist Kelsi Dahlia (Worrell). Lindi touched in a 1:10.90 in the 100 breaststroke. Lindi, an NCAA qualifier for Cincinnati this past season, entered the summer with a lifetime best 1:12.50 that she swam for 9th at last summer’s Columbus Sectionals.
KK LeBlanc completed her sweep of the backstroke events, touching in a 1:01.50 in the 100 back for the win. That was 0.10 off her best.
The men’s side of the night was led by Matthew Klinge who added another win to his tally this weekend. Klinge touched in a 22.36 in the 50 free to tie his lifetime best coming into the meet but shaved 0.01 off that in prelims as he swam a 22.35 then.
After winning the 200 breast earlier this week, Michigan’s William Savarese touched in a 3:55.28 to win the 400 free. That dropped almost three seconds off his previous best of a 3:58.02 he swam back at NCSAs in summer 2022. He enters his junior season this fall.
Alabama commit Nash King won the 200 fly in a 2:01.49, dropping over two seconds from his previous best of a 2:03.77 he swam at the start of June. He entered the summer with a lifetime best 2:04.03 that he swam at this meet a year ago for 4th.
The 100 backstroke came down to the final touch as Owen Chiles touched in a 55.69, dropping a second off his previous best of a 56.56 from March 2024. Aiden Gerst, who won the 200 back earlier this weekend, was 2nd in a 55.75, a 0.37 second drop. Ahmed Ismail touched 1st in the 100 breast with a 1:02.09 but was slightly faster in prelims with a 1:01.85.
