ONTARIO COUNTY, N.Y. — The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has introduced a new K-9.
His name is Obi, an eight-week-old dog that’s the newest member to the office’s K-9 unit.
Obi is named after Obi-Wan Kenobi because he was born on May 4.
Obi is assigned to Deputy Pat Fitzgerald, who brings more than 27 years of service to Ontario County, including 22 years on Road Patrol. Obi will replace Fitzgerald’s longtime K-9 partner, Sandy.
