ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester city leaders celebrated 10 years of a small business loan program that has provided $1.6 million to business owners in the Flower City.
The loans are crowd-funded, so friends, family and millions of people across the globe can contribute. Business owners can access zero-interest loans ranging from $1,000 to $15,000.
News10NBC spoke to the owner of Beautifully Nourished Juicery, who said the process was incredibly supportive.
“Oh it’s extremely important, it’s very necessary. It’s going to help you scale your business. It’s going to help you start up, it’s going to help you purchase equipment,” said Jacorii Smith, owner of Beautifully Nourished Juicery. “You will be able to purchase inventory, kiosk, you name it.”
