ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Welcome to the weekend! If you have outdoor plans this weekend, our weather will cooperate all weekend. A cold front continues to press to our south, meanwhile an area of high pressure slowly settles in from the northwest. We’ll see a mainly clear sky Friday night with a few passing clouds and the slight chance of a brief shower. Both weekend days look great with dry weather, plenty of sunshine, and seasonably warm temperatures. Dew points will settle in the 50s most of the weekend, meaning we’ll be warm, but not humid.
That will start to change to a certain extent next week. High pressure slides off to our east by Monday. This will allow warmer and slightly more humid air to make a return to western New York. Temperatures will climb into the mid 80s on Monday, but remaining dry. Tuesday will likely be our hottest day, with highs in the lower 90s and once again mainly dry weather. Wednesday may flirt with 90 degrees once again, and dew points will begin to creep back into the 60s, making it feel a little more muggy.
Rain and storm chances will tend to go up a little by the middle to end of next week, but at this point still remain fairly low with any activity being isolated to scattered. We’ll keep you posted on rain chances as we get into next week.
