Not everyone likes a crowded music festival or a speech-heavy rally. There are tons more LGBTQ-oriented events happening during Pride week besides the official seven events put on by the San Diego Pride organization. 

Nearly every gay bar on the scene is jam-packed with events, and even nearby museums and hotels are getting in on the fun. Here’s a roundup of our top picks among the many unofficial events taking place during Pride week. Unless stated, events are for those over age 21. 

July 10 

‘Fellow Travelers’

The “Heated Rivalry” of opera will be performed at Balboa Theatre from July 10 to 12 with showings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Based on Thomas Mallon’s novel, an idealistic college grad and State Department official take part in a secret affair during Sen. McCarthy’s manufactured Red Scare. No age limit, but be forewarned of partial nudity. San Diego Symphony Orchestra will accompany the performance. Tickets start at $70 at sdopera.org/shows/fellow-travelers. 

San Diego Black Pride 

San Diego Black Pride kicks off with the Legacy Ball Vol. 2 from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday, July 10 at the Chapel at Liberty Station (2881 Roosevelt Road), an ages 18-and-up event hosted by Amber St. James. Saturday brings the Floatin’ & Flawless Yacht Party from 6-9 p.m, with boarding at H&M Landing (2803 Emerson St.) starting at 5:30 p.m. The official afterparty will be held at Rich’s San Diego (1051 University Ave.) in Hillcrest starting at 9 p.m.

The festivities conclude with Sunday Service, also 18-and-up at The Soap Factory (2995 Commercial St.) from 1-9 p.m., which will include the drag showcase 619 & Fab. Single day and weekend pass tickets are still available.

July 11

Yoga Flow at The Center 

Flow with Pride at the annual yoga fundraiser at The Center, open to all identities and ability levels. Grab a mat and join teacher Milica for an hour-long class on Saturday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m. Proceeds go towards essential services at The Center (3909 Centre St.), with the goal of raising $3,000. Reserve a spot or just make a donation. No age limit. 

PROUD+ Art Exhibit 

The Studio Door is holding a public reception for its ninth annual PROUD+ Art Exhibit from 6 to 9 p.m. on July 11. Located at 3867 Fourth Ave., the art gallery features 56 queer artists from across the nation. No age limit. 

Melissa Etheridge (and Wynonna Judd) 

Former Pride headliner Melissa Etheridge will be in San Diego again, alongside country icon Wynonna Judd. The singer-songwriter will share music from across her career at the Rady Shell at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $66. No age limit. 

July 12

Sapphic Sweat Lifting Club 

Sapphic Sweat Lifting Club is kicking off Pride by taking care of their bodies and building community. The team will lead an all-body workout before a yoga flow with an optional cold plunge and sauna at host gym RESET to follow. Then, everyone is invited to a nearby coffee shop for social hour. The workout starts at 10 a.m. Tickets are $15 with no age limit listed.  

Cabaret Drag Brunch

Gossip Grill’s Sunday brunch will be a Pride extravaganza this week with special guest Wild Tiger Woman alongside drag stars TJ Barr, Nadya Symone and Angel Eclipse as well as Nina Bel Vande. Seating begins at 11 a.m. with the show starting at 11:45. Tickets cost $13 with a $20 purchase minimum.

Pride & Seek: Queer Comedy Brunch 

Here’s to a comedy show during the gayest meal of the day. Mic Drop Comedy (8878 Clairemont Mesa Blvd.) is holding a Rated R brunch on Sunday hosted by Cassidy Stains. Join nationally touring River Butcher and other comedians for bold jokes and a wild time. Doors open at noon and show starts at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $20 with a $5.50 service fee. 

July 13

Pride Happy Hour

Popular Instagram account @HillcrestSanDiego presents the 12th annual Pride happy hour and kick-off party from 5-8 p.m. Meet the who’s who of the neighborhood with Rick Cervantes and Benny Cartwright hosting this year’s event at Rich’s with no cover. 

July 14

ShowTunes Dinner Theater Divas: Pride Edition

Urban Mo’s twice monthly spaghetti dinner gets a Pride twist as host Mariam T brings an all-star cast of drag queens to perform campy Broadway classics and other showtunes while attendees chow down on $8 all-you-can-eat spaghetti and sip $7 Skyy cocktails. Tickets to the show are $15. Doors open at 6 with dinner at 7 p.m. 

Summer/Pride Karaoke 

Weekly karaoke at Cordova Bar, located on Morena Boulevard., has a Pride takeover planned for the sing-off on July 14 starting at 8 p.m. No cover. 

July 15 

Film Screening: ‘Love Birds’ 

This award-winning documentary explores the story of two scientists who discovered lesbian seagulls on California’s Channel Islands at a time when same-sex relationships were seen as unnatural. The seagulls challenged that assumption and forever changed LGBTQ+ history. Filmmakers will share the experience of creating the movie after the screening at the San Diego Natural History Museum at 7 p.m. All ages. Tickets are $15.

Pitch-A-Friend Pride Night

Come for a queer edition of the popular pitch-a-friend dating night hosted by drag queen Aiyae Vivi with slides introducing singles, community building and dating games at non-alcoholic Good News Bar in Hillcrest at 7 p.m. Anyone over 18 welcome. Proceeds benefit Collective Coalition. 

Flick’s Jungle Pride Week Pass

Flick’s, a popular gay club, is offering Pride week passes. Their wristbands mean skipping the line and entrance to all their events, starting with Welfare Wednesday at 8 p.m. and including the Sunday brunch Drag Me to the Jungle. Find event listings and passes at sdflicks.com. 

July 16

Lesbian, Bi, Trans, Queer+ Speed Dating 

LBTQ people are invited to Cork & Stem on Thursday for an algorithm-driven speed dating event hosted by Little Gay Book. Attendees will have up to 10 five-minute dates in this well-organized evening for those ready to ditch dating apps. Note, this event is not for gay men. Check-in starts at 5:30 p.m. and participants should arrive no later than 5:55 p.m. Tickets cost $17.85. 

Puta Lucha – Puta Pride 

Puta Lucha, San Diego’s original drag wrestling show, has gained such popularity that it has moved from late Thursdays to the prime spot on Saturdays at The Brass Rail. It’s prominence continues in July, when three shows are scheduled for the outrageous show where drag performers take each other on in the ring with surprise twists and over-the-top rivalries. The special Pride edition returns to Thursday. Doors open at 7 p.m. with $10 tickets.  A special All Stars lineup is scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. as well. Door tickets are $25 with special guest Hunter Gallhager. 

Reverb: Pride 

The Pride edition of EQ San Diego’s weekly techno series features an all BIPOC queer artist lineup, including Zip.File, Antigamut and Oscar Wild. Their website says listening and dancing to techno is freedom of expression with roots that are “Proud, Black, Revolutionary and Accepting of all.” Show starts at 9 p.m. Get $7.75 tickets here. 

Rich’s Pride Candy Land

Premiere gay nightclub Rich’s is offering weekend VIP passes to all seven of its Pride events, including Papi Pride on Thursday, Dirty-POP Pride on Friday, and Souleil and Sunset Tea on Sunday. The two-story club will be decked out as a sweet candy land. Purchase weekend passes or individual tickets. 

July 17

Fun Dip Pool Party 

LE Parties starts off a weekend of pool parties with DJs Buck/Off and Ryan Skyy at DoubleTree Hilton in Mission Valley from 1 to 7 p.m. Tickets start at $35. 

Gayliens Comedy Show 

Join Cork & Stem in Hillcrest for a hilarious evening filled with sharp wit and queer humor with delicious wine and food. Featuring comedy from Zanna Weiss, DD Stepps, Brandon Potter, Klitus Black, Alex Vo and host Dre Hayden. No cover but VIP tables available. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. 

Club BAE

Los Angeles DJ Von Kiss returns for her annual San Diego Pride party, this time on Friday night. Head to Park & Rec in University Heights from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. to join a diverse crowd of lesbians and queers. Pre-sale tickets are $12, but ticketholders must arrive by 11 p.m. for guaranteed entry. 

Queergxrl: San Diego Pride Party 

Queergxrl is taking over Spin Nightclub to kick-off pride weekend! Get ready for a night of special performances, vendors, DJs and other special surprises. The party starts at 9 p.m. at 2028 Hancock St. and doesn’t stop until 3 a.m. Tickets start at $17. 

Brick^2

The LOADCO crew rented out Number One Fifth Avenue’s Pride room to “Twirl with the girls and start San Diego Pride with the best parts of our community: music, art, community and love.” Everyone is welcome, but dolls eat free. Clay, Otterbawdy and Femme_fat_ale will bring house and disco beats from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. General admission, $33. 

July 18

Pride on the Patio 

Enjoy the Pride Parade from Negociant Winery’s patio with brunch and bubbles to boot. Hillcrest’s only working winery has one of the best views of the parade. VIP brunchgoers get a tie-dye shirt, bottomless mimosas, a goodie bag, Pride wine glass, bottled water and in-and-out privileges all day. Brunch begins at 9 a.m. to the tune of $89. In addition, for those who want the view, but not the brunch, a $19 wristband comes with a glass of wine, bottled water and in-and-out privileges. 

Pride Parade Brunch & Pizza Party

Cellar Hand in Hillcrest will open early — 9 a.m. — with its full brunch menu plus grab-and-go goodies, seafood platters and bottles of bubbles, segueing into a pizza party with Hillcrest Brewing Company with special cocktails, music and games to help you make a full day of fun.

Community sign making 

ArtReach, the youth arts education nonprofit, is opening its doors for attendees of the Pride Parade to create custom signs. Sign-making begins at ArtReach headquarters, at the corner of Vermont and University along the parade route, at 10 a.m. for all ages. 

Parade Day Block Party 

While not on the parade route, The Brass Rail is steps away. Take a break from floats at their block party taking place at Arko Park from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. No cover. 

Sail into Pride – Yacht Pride Party 

Want to celebrate Pride at sea? Trade the pavement for the Pacific for this yacht party with views of San Diego. Party starts at the pier at 11 a.m., with final boarding call at 11:45 a.m. Then, set sail on a three-hour tour with headliner Murray Swanby. Tickets are $130. 

Camp Good News 

Celebrate the one-year anniversary of non-alcoholic Good News Bar with a camp-themed Pride party with Kava jello shots and CBD slushies, beer pong and flip cup, friendship bracelet making, temporary tattoos, giveaways, raffles and plenty of ways to make new memories. Free entry all day. No alcohol, so patrons can be under 21. 

Colossal Pool Party 

LE Parties is bringing the biggest pool party of Pride weekend with two stages for music and entertainment to DoubleTree by Hilton Mission Valley with headliner Sam Blacky from 1 to 7 p.m. Tickets start at $60. 

Persians of Interest: Tirgan Pride 

Persian Karen and a wealth of Persian comedians are storming the Yellow Door for a special Persian Pride stand-up comedy show celebrating the ancient rain festival Tirgan while raising their voices for gay rights in Iran – and raising the roof in San Diego. The show is presented by the National Lampoon: The Yellow Door and starts at 9:30 p.m. at 650 Sixth Ave. Tickets are $28. 

Furreagous 

The 17th edition of Furreagous is taking over Music Box again. The three-level music venue will be packed for DJ Jon Williams starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are $44. 

Eden San Diego Pride Party 

The largest party of the year for women-loving-women and queer identities takes place Saturday after Pride at Moonshine Flats at 344 Seventh Ave. at 9 p.m. Remaining tickets start at $40. 

July 19

Lez in Waterland 

San Diego’s largest queer women pool party returns with go-go dancers, rotating women DJs, live performances, drink specials and summer pool games. Queer women and friends 21-and-up are welcomed to the Andaz Hotel rooftop from noon to 7 p.m. on Pride Sunday. Tickets start at $49.

Drag-a-Licious Pool Party Extravaganza 

LE Parties closes out its weekend of pool parties with one dedicated to the queens. With live performances at 3 and 5 p.m., performers Jasmine Kennedie, Scarlett Bobo, Rhea Litré and Jazzlene East Coast will take over the main stage pool with K Swift providing the music. The party lasts from 1 to 7 p.m. at DoubleTree by Hilton Mission Valley. Tickets start at $45.  

Lez Get Wet Pool Party

The girls take over waterland at the DoubleTree for a party of their own with water slides, drinks and music from Jenny Pocket and iKarla. The pool-style party takes place from 1-7 p.m. with tickets starting at $45. 

Love, Summer 2026 

Come celebrate Pride, summer and love at restaurant and bar InsideOUT from 1 to 10 p.m. with DJs MOD GIRL and AURALUXE. Tickets, for $60, come with one cocktail and food all day.
