While McGregor is one of the most dangerous strikers in UFC history, this projection feels a bit too high for a five-round rematch against Max Holloway. McGregor has always relied on precision and power over volume, and if he finds an early finish, he likely won’t have enough time to reach this number. Even if the fight goes longer, Holloway’s movement and durability could limit McGregor’s clean striking opportunities, making the lower side the value play.
2. Paddy Pimblett Higher Than 1.5 Total Rounds
I’m also backing Paddy Pimblett to go higher than 1.5 total rounds. Pimblett is a dangerous finisher, but his opponent has the skill set to extend the fight beyond the midway point of Round 2. Rather than forcing an early finish, expect Pimblett to stay patient, look for openings, and gradually take control as the fight progresses. As long as the bout reaches the 2:30 mark of the second round, this projection cashes, making it one of my favorite props on the card.
3. Robert Whittaker Higher Than 40.5 Significant Strikes
Rounding out my card is Robert Whittaker to finish with more than 40.5 significant strikes. Whittaker has consistently shown he can put together high-volume striking performances, especially when facing durable opponents who are willing to exchange. His crisp combinations, movement, and ability to control the pace should allow him to steadily pile up significant strikes throughout the fight. If this matchup stays on the feet for extended stretches, I like Whittaker’s chances of clearing 40.5 significant strikes and making this one of the stronger projections on the UFC 329 board.
