Fall camp is just around the corner, and talking season is in full swing.
On Monday night, On3Sports’ Chris Low dropped his list of the 10 best quarterbacks in the SEC heading into the new season. You can find his full list below:

— On3 (@On3) July 6, 2026As you can see, the top of this list isn’t too surprising. Low has Ole Miss‘s Trinidad Chambliss at the top, followed by Arch Manning out of Texas and Gunner Stockton out of Georgia. While Oklahoma‘s John Mateer has snuck into a few top 3s, most lists you’ll find will put this trio at the top.
Lane Kiffin’s first QB in Baton Rouge, Arizona State transfer Sam Leavitt, rounds out the top 5. He’s followed by South Carolina‘s LaNorris Sellers — who is looking to have a bounce-back season after much anticipation fizzled out in 2025 — and Texas A&M returner Marcel Reed at No. 7.
Reed is only set to get better following a strong sophomore year, where he threw for 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. He’s entering his 3rd year in Mike Elko’s system and his second as a full-time starter.
Byrum Brown, Kamario Taylor and Kenny Minchey complete Low’s top 10. Brown follows Auburn head coach Alex Golesh from USF after throwing for 3,000+ and rushing for 1000+ with the Bulls. Also a dual-threat QB, Taylor is perhaps flying under the radar more than any signal caller in the SEC after a promising freshman campaign.
Minchey is definitely talented as a former 4-star prospect, but also a bit of an unknown for the Wildcats as they begin the Will Stein era. He’s only attempted 29 passes in college football with 23 completions and 212 passing yards. His first touchdown at Kentucky will be the first of his 3-year college career.
