SENECA, N.Y. — On Sunday, around 11:15 a.m., emergency crews in Ontario County responded to the intersection of Kashong Switch Road and Wabash Road for a reported two-car crash. Deputies say one person was killed, and another was taken to a hospital.
Deputies say a man was driving a Subaru westbound on Kashong Switch Road and another man was driving a Volkswagen southbound on Wabash Road, leading to a crash at the intersection.
The passenger in the Subaru was killed, and the driver of the Subaru received facial and back injuries, according to deputies.
The driver of the Volkswagen was cleared by responders at the scene, the sheriff’s office says.
The crash is still being investigated, and the county says the intersection was closed for about three hours.
