BUFFALO, N.Y. — Police are investigating after someone threatened to blow up City Hall in Buffalo on Wednesday night.
The threat came after an unknown suspect removed a Somali flag from a flagpole in Niagara Square, outside City Hall. The flag was raised earlier this week in honor of Somalian Independence Day.
The police commissioner says the person behind the online threat has been identified as someone who lives outside Buffalo. Police intend to question the individual soon.
