ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man has pleaded guilty in connection to a deadly shooting on Orchard Street last May.

Terrance Wright, 36, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter on Thursday.
On May 8, 2025, Richard Gollwitzer, 36, was found dead in a wooded area. According to Rochester Police, Wright shot Gollwitzer in the head. Originally, Wright was charged with murder.

At the time of the shooting, police say Wright was out of custody pending criminal possession of stolen property charges, and was sentenced to one to three years in prison for those charges.
Wright is set to be sentenced at the end of July. He’s expected to be sentenced to 20 years in prison, plus five years of post-release supervision.
