The Austrian Swimming Federation has nominated its 23-person roster for the European Championships in Paris later this summer.

The Austrian squad traveling includes 16 men swimmers (one of whom is also the lone open water swimmer), four women swimmers, and three divers. This number is up two from the 21 the nation sent back to this meet in 2024.

Austria’s qualification period for the European Championships wrapped up on June 14th. The team was selected based on recommendations from the Sports Commission and the Federation’s board.

Among the major names traveling to Paris is Bernhard Reitshammer, a two-time Olympian (2020, 2024) who was a two-time finalist at this meet back in 2024, finishing 4th in the 50 breaststroke in 27.07 and 6th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.13.
