He assured co-stars Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland that the cancer had been caught early and that he had a procedure to remove the cancer, but said it had "gone awry".
In a new interview, however, Clarkson has now confirmed his cancer is in remission, saying he's "the world's luckiest man".

In his Sunday Times newspaper column earlier this year, Clarkson revealed that filming of the sixth season had been suspended because of the poor weather.
A section of it reads: "Season five will air this year and season six has been commissioned and will air in summer 2027."
"I said I’ll stop doing them when there are no more ideas. But I’ve got two quite good ones, so we’ll do six and then we’ll see…"

Season 6 of Clarkson's Farm could cover a variety of highs and lows facing Diddly Squat, but back in January, Clarkson hinted that should it snow in the UK filming for season 6 would resume.
Speaking of a potential sixth season, Clarkson told The Sun: "We've never had a rest, we wrap a series and immediately start again because farming doesn't stop.
"So, but this time Kaleb's gone off to Australia, he's filming down there at the moment, I was doing Millionaire Hot Seat and I really wanted to have a holiday because I haven't had one in ages.
