But those fans can seemingly rest easy now, as Rockstar has officially confirmed that pre-orders for the game will begin on 25 June 2026.
It appears that physical versions will also be open for pre-orders at select retailers, though it's currently unknown which ones.
The news was broken with a clip showing a first glimpse at the game's cover art, featuring the logo prominently in the centre on top of the classic mosaic pattern of various characters and vehicles from the game.
Speculation about the price of GTA 6 has run rampant ever since its announcement, and while many analysts are predicting it to land around the $80 mark, others believe it could be the first game to break the $100 barrier.
Now, while we wait for those pre-orders to release, most players are going to be clamouring even harder for that elusive Trailer 3.
