ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The City of Rochester is holding a public meeting next week on the future of the Highland and Cobbs Hill reservoirs.
The meeting will be held Wednesday, June 24, at Olmsted Lodge at Highland Park. This meeting is part of an ongoing study evaluating options to improve the city’s drinking water system and comply with federal drinking water regulations, the city says.
The city says the reservoir study started in September 2024, and is expected to be done in summer 2027.
City staff and project consultants will present the alternatives under consideration at the meeting, and talk about the Environmental Impact Statement that will be prepared as part of the State Environmental Quality Review process.
Next Wednesday’s meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. The city says public input is a key part of the process and will help guide the project’s final recommendations.
