VIENNA — The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County is seeking donations following the rescue of 56 animals in four days this month.
AWL officials posted on their social media site that humane department officers rescued 56 animals from severe living conditions at different locations. The animals include 22 dogs, 27 cats, three guinea pigs and four chickens.
“The AWL team is answering cruelty calls, rescuing animals from dangerous situations, providing medical care, feeding hungry mouths, cleaning kennels, comforting frightened animals and preparing them for brighter futures,” the social media post states.
