A teen was sexually assaulted inside of a vehicle in an Arlington Heights parking garage over the weekend, according to police.
According to a press release, the assault occurred in a parking garage at 155 East Eastman Street at approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police say a teen victim was approached by an unknown individual on the top level of the parking garage, with the suspect asking her for assistance with an issue involving his vehicle.
Once the teen got inside the vehicle the suspect sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene, police said.
The suspect in the case was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black athletic shorts. The vehicle in the incident was described as an older model gray SUV, but an exact make and model were not immediately available.
The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Arlington Heights police at 847-368-5300.
