A 36-year-old man has died after he was shot following a verbal altercation in the Roseland neighborhood Saturday night.
According to Chicago police, the man was walking in the first block of East 95th Street just before 10 p.m. Saturday when he became involved in a verbal altercation with another individual.
During that altercation the suspect in the case pulled out a weapon and fired multiple shots at the victim before fleeing the scene on foot.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, and he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Area Two detectives are investigating, and no suspects are in custody at this time.
