On Tuesday afternoon, light to moderate rain is forecast along the border between Jazan and Asir and is expected to continue into the early evening. By late Wednesday afternoon, moderate rain is expected to affect much of eastern Asir, while light rain is forecast in a small area of northeastern Jazan. The rainfall is expected to dissipate by early evening. Thursday afternoon will bring a return of light to moderate rain to western Asir and a small area in northeastern Jazan. The rainfall is then forecast to intensify slightly and spread along the border between Asir and Jazan before continuing into the early evening. By Friday afternoon, light to moderate rain is expected over southern Jazan before intensifying into heavy rainfall and moving along the Kingdom’s western coast. The rain is forecast to affect much of eastern Jazan, western Asir, and Al-Baha, extending into southern Makkah, where it will have weakened considerably. The map shows rainfall dissipating completely by early Friday evening, then returning Saturday afternoon at moderate intensity, affecting areas along the border between Jazan and Asir. The rainfall is expected to intensify slightly for a short period during the early evening before moving southward and exiting the Kingdom later that night.
