Authorities have identified the man killed in a shooting that also left two others injured in the Garfield Park neighborhood.
Jacquell Phillips, 28, of Chicago, was shot and killed at around 11:05 p.m. Friday in the 3800 block of West Monroe Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Chicago police said officers responded to a call of a person who had been shot and found the victim, identified as Phillips. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A second victim, a 32-year-old man, sustained a gunshot wound to the right arm and went to the hospital on his own. He was listed in good condition.
Another 32-year-old man showed up at Rush University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the left knee. He was also reported to be in good condition.
The shooting remains under investigation by Area Four detectives.
