Giants’ offense needs Malik Nabers to get well soon: Minicamp takeaways | The Athletic
Nabers’ return is critical because the wide receiver room is full of parts that could complement him, but is uninspiring in his absence. The Giants were celebrated for patching together the receiver room with budget signings after Wan’Dale Robinson signed a four-year, $70 million contract with the Tennessee Titans. But there was an element of getting what you pay for after watching the Nabers-less passing offense this spring.
The Giants only need one or two of the new receivers to deliver if Nabers is healthy and Slayton bounces back. But watching the offense without Nabers this spring was a reminder of his value.

Predicting the NFL’s Biggest Comeback Players in 2026 | Bleacher Report
RB Cam Skattebo, New York Giants. It didn’t take New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo long to become a fan favorite in the Big Apple. In his second professional start, he topped 100 total yards. The following game, he scored three times on the ground. In the eighth game of his rookie season, however, Skattebo dislocated his ankle and his 2025 campaign was over.
There’s quite a bit of enthusiasm surrounding the Giants this year, in no small part because of the young offensive core of quarterback Jaxson Dart, wide receiver Malik Nabers and Skattebo. Of that trio, Nabers is the least likely to be ready for the beginning of the regular season, which could result in the Giants leaning even more heavily on Skattebo and the ground game early on.

This is where Giants want to see Jaxson Dart improve in Year 2 | NJ.com
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart flashed plenty of potential as a rookie last season.
But he has yet to prove himself over the long haul. So Year 2 — with new coach John Harbaugh (and coordinator Matt Nagy’s new offense) — is a big one for Dart, as he tries to take the next step. With that in mind, where do the Giants want to see Dart improve?
World Cup grass in NFL stadiums stirs debate over field surface | ESPN.com
“Annoying,” Giants offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor said of what it’s like to see the MetLife Stadium turf covered by a natural grass surface. “It’s nice playing on grass.”
MetLife Stadium — being called New York New Jersey Stadium for the World Cup because of FIFA’s strict “clean stadium” policy, which prohibits corporate sponsors and branding at the venues — has a busy August schedule after the tournament’s final July 19. There are concerts and NFL games on 12 of the 31 days that includes preseason contests on back-to-back days Aug. 14-15 for the Giants and Jets.

Hall of Fame Voters Decide Between Russell Wilson and Eli Manning in SI Poll | SI.com
Five said Wilson, while three went with Manning. The argument for Wilson is his overall body of work. He’s a 10-time Pro Bowler and a second-team All-Pro. Manning went to four Pro Bowls and never sniffed All-Pro consideration. Despite starting in 32 fewer games, Wilson threw for only 13 fewer touchdowns (353 to 366). However, he tossed 130 fewer interceptions (114), compared to Manning’s 244. Manning led the NFL in picks three times and is 12th all-time on the list. Furthermore, Wilson threw for 7.7 yards per attempt, 11.9 yards per completion and ran for 5,568 yards and 31 touchdowns. Manning finished with 7.0 YPA and 11.6 YPC, while rushing for a minuscule 567 yards and seven scores.
And yet, in the playoffs, Manning authored some of the league’s most indelible moments. In the 2007 season, Manning led his fifth-seeded squad to road wins over the Buccaneers, the top-seeded Cowboys, and then the Packers in sub-zero temperatures at Lambeau Field. In the Super Bowl, New York stunned New England, 17–14, with Manning completing arguably the most iconic pass in the sport’s history, finding David Tyree’s helmet for 32 yards on the game-winning drive.
