A fatal crash early Thursday caused a full closure of northbound lanes on Interstate 15 just north of state Route 76, prompting major delays for North County commuters.
The crash was reported just after 4 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities shut down the lanes for the investigation.
