ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Three adults are without a home after a fire on Chili Avenue near Kenwood Avenue overnight on Thursday.
The Rochester Fire Department says one of them was taken to the hospital for evaluation, and improperly discarded items caused the fire. It took crews around 20 minutes to control the fire.
Firefighters arrived just before 1 a.m. and saw smoke coming from the second floor. They used hose lines to stop the fire from spreading to the attic and found flames in the back of the home.
