ESPN has revealed its list of the top 2026-27 colege basketball transfer classes following the commitment of Milan Momcilovic to Kentucky.
In total, 4 SEC programs cracked ESPN’s list, which was put together by Jeff Borzello. The Tennessee Volunteers landed first in Borzello’s rankings, followed by Louisville at No. 2, Texas at No. 3 and Kentucky at No. 4.
Here’s a look at the SEC inclusions in Borzello’s rankings. Click the hyperlink above to see his full list.
No. 1 — Tennessee No. 3 — Texas No. 4 — Kentucky No. 12 — Missouri Also considered: Texas A&M, VanderbiltBorzello’s ranking makes a lot of sense, though several outside the SEC will argue that Louisville’s class of Jackson Shelstead (Oregon), Flory Bidunga (Kansas) and De’Shayne Montgomery (Dayton) is superior. One thing is for sure; the Vols’ class is loaded offensively.
Tennessee lost most of last year’s team and built an absolute monster through the portal, headlined by Wake Forest transfer Juke Harris. Notre Dame’s Jalen Haralson, Cal’s Dai Dai Ames and VCU’s Terrence Hill are all strong scorers who will lead a Tennessee offense with a ton of expectations heading into the new season.
Texas has a pretty impressive group of transfers, too. David Punch and Isaiah Johnson highlight a portal class that also includes Elyjah Freeman (Auburn), Amari Evans (Tennessee) and Mikey Lewis (St. Mary’s). The Longhorns boast one of the country’s best rosters with Matas Vokietaitis returning to Austin.
Then there’s Kentucky, which beat out Louisville for one of the top transfers in the cycle, Momcilovic. The Wildcats also brought in Alex Wiliins (Furman), Zoom Diallo (Washington) and Justin McBride (James Madison) to complement Malachi Moreno.
