Fairport Canal Days (Friday through Sunday)
A Fairport tradition returns on Friday. North Main Street will once again be filled with live music, arts vendors, food vendors, and other festivities for the 49th annual Fairport Canal Days. The free festival runs through Sunday.

Canal Days kicks off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a chicken barbeque. After that, there’s music from the Eastman Youth Jazz Orchestra, GatesSwingers, and Zac Brown Tribute. The music gets underway at 5 p.m. and runs through 10 p.m.
Saturday’s festivities run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. At night, there will be music from Son Henry Band and Dial Up. Sunday’s closing day will feature the annual duck race at the lift bridge. It gets underway at 3 p.m. You can get tickets to enter a duck at the festival or the Fairport Farmer’s Market. All proceeds will support the FPMA Beautification Fund to support community enhancements and public art initiatives. New this year, there will be three shuttle buses to take people to Canal Days on Saturday and Sunday. People can park at Minerva Deland School and Johanna Perrin School. The drop-off location will be at Village Landing near the Dollar Tree. The shuttle services will run from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
There will also be limited free street parking. Just be sure to pay attention to signs. First Congregational United Church of Christ on 26 East Church St. is offering parking for $10, cash only. Church of the Assumption on 20 East Ave. is offering parking with a suggested donation of $10.
Spencerport Firemen’s Carnival (through Saturday)
The Spencerport Firemen’s Carnival, a fundraiser for the entirely volunteer-based fire department, continues on Friday and runs through Saturday.

The money from the carnival goes toward recruitment and buying life-saving new equipment, said Aaron Baker, president of the Spencerport Volunteer Firemen’s Association. The carnival at Fireman’s Field on South Union Street runs from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday and from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
There will be live music, carnival rides, games, and food and drinks every day. The carnival kicked off on Wednesday with Eric’s Retro Arcade Kiddie Parade. Admission is free. You can see the full schedule here.
Flower City Fest (Saturday)
The City of Rochester is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the city’s Flower City logo with a festival on Saturday. It runs from 6 to 10 p.m. in the High Falls District.
Flower City Fest will feature a market, where local artists will sell their work inspired by the Flower City logo. There will also be live music, food, and drinks.

In addition, there will be three screenings of “City Mark: A Rochester Icon,” a documentary about the history of the logo. The screenings will happen at 6 p.m., 7:15 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. at the former High Falls Interpretive Center and Museum building.
The festival will end with a Flower City logo-themed drone show above High Falls from 9:45 to 10 p.m. The best viewing sports will be the Pont de Rennes Bridge, Andrews Street Bridge, Sister Cities Pedestrian Bridge, and Austin Steward Plaza.
Charity softball game at ESL Ballpark (Sunday)
Some familiar faces for Bills Mafia will be heading to the home of the Rochester Red Wings on Sunday. The Greg Rousseau Charity Softball Game will take place at ESL Ballpark.
The softball game, which will be a matchup of Bills defense vs. Bills offense, will benefit the Rousseau Family Foundation. The foundation provides resources, mentorship, and meaningful support to help young people overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
Rousseau will be hosting. Other players, including James Cook, DJ Moore, Keon Coleman, Damar Hamlin, Ray Davis and more will also be there. Gates will open at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday for a pregame tailgate party featuring food, music, and more.
At noon, there will be a home run derby featuring five Bills players. Then at 1 p.m., the first pitch of the softball game will be thrown. The following ticket options are available:
