One Bill that fits that bill is fourth-round rookie linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr, who lets his game do the talking.
When asked what his favorite memory playing football was, Kaleb Elarms-Orr didn’t waste any breathe.
“Winning games,” Elarms-Orr said.
Sure, he can be a man of few words, but he doesn’t mince words when he wants to.
“Shoot, I want to be the starter. I want to earn it. I want to be a guy that comes in and earns everybody’s respect and the coach’s respect and not only the respect, but the trust and the ability to be the guy we want,” Elarms-Orr said.
Although it’s early, that respect and trust is coming already.
“Whether he knows it or not, I think he’s in the right spot the majority of the time. He’s got a really good feel for the game,” Leonhard said.
Bills defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard says he’s been impressed by Elarms-Orr’s pop so far.
“Early on, he’s run with the ones at times, [he’s] in control in the huddle and getting things lined up,” Leonhard said. “So, excited for him to grow as a player and see what he can do.
The roadmap to week one is here, the destination is clear and the process is in place. “You got to keep pressing it forward and you just gotta keep going and keep demanding the right thing,” Elarms-Orr said.
The Bills will wrap up their OTA portion of the schedule on June 11 before taking over a month off until Training Camp begins at St. John Fisher in July.
