ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two Rochester men are facing charges after federal prosecutors say they were involved in drug trafficking.

Quentin Yancey, or “Q,” 39, and Johnny Mays, or “Blaze,” 41, are charged with narcotics conspiracy. Yancey is also charged with using and maintaining a drug-involved premises, and six counts of money laundering.

Prosecutors say Yancey and Mays worked with Joseph Zaso and others to sell heroin and fentanyl in Rochester between 2018 and May 2022. They say Yancey used two homes on Lyell Avenue for drug trafficking.

Between June and September 2021, prosecutors say Yancey made three deposits totaling $42,910 into a federal credit union account in the name of a property management company to hide the proceeds from the drug trafficking.

Yancey and Mays were arraigned. Zaso was previously charged and convicted, and is awaiting sentencing.

The two face a minimum penalty of ten years in prison and a maximum of life.
