Disc golf tournament raises $10,000 for critically and chronically ill children

PENFIELD, N.Y. — Disc golfers gathered at Shadow Pines in Penfield on Sunday morning for the Chasing Chains for Charity disc golf tournament.

The event aimed to raise $10,000 for the Rotary Club of Penfield and Dream Factory’s mission to grant wishes for critically and chronically ill kids. More than 30 people came out to support the cause.

Each participant took their time to wind up and give their best throw. More than $6,000 was raised from business sponsorships.

Organizers expected to get close to the fundraising goal after completing their raffle.
