Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said that the new budget for fiscal year 2026/2027 is designed to build an economy that is more capable of achieving strong and balanced growth, while also being more responsive to the needs of both citizens and investors.
In a statement on Sunday, May 31, 2026, Kouchouk said LE 90 billion has been allocated in the new budget to expand programs supporting production, service and merchandise exports and entrepreneurship activities.
He noted that LE 48 billion has been earmarked for export rebate programs, while nearly seven billion has been allocated to support the tourism sector.
The minister added that six billion LE has been set aside in financing facilities for productive sectors to enhance Egypt’s industrial and agricultural capabilities.
