He was a Christian and a longtime member of Central Pike Church of Christ, where his presence and fellowship were valued by those who worshipped alongside him. Ronnie carried himself with quiet strength and a steady spirit that reflected the values he held throughout his life.
Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and his service to his country was a meaningful part of his life. After his military service, he devoted more than 40 years to the auto glass repair business, where he earned a reputation for hard work, reliability, and skill. His long career was a testament to his strong work ethic and his commitment to doing every job well. Those who worked with him and knew him professionally remember a man who was dependable, honest, and proud of the work he performed.
Outside of work, Ronnie found great enjoyment in duck hunting, a pastime he loved deeply and pursued with enthusiasm. The outdoors brought him both peace and pleasure. His appreciation for the sport was part of the simple, steady joys that made his life full and meaningful. He valued time spent in nature and the companionship that often came with it.
Family was central to Ronnie’s life, and he is survived by his wife, Judy Collier Jones of Hermitage, Tennessee; his daughter, Lesley Michelle Carter of Hermitage, Tennessee; his brother, Donald Lee Jones and his wife Mary of Stuart, Florida; and his grandchildren, Autumn Nichole Cox and her husband Ryan of Old Hickory, Tennessee, Mackail Carter of Hermitage, Tennessee, Matthew Allen Jones of Cookeville, Tennessee, Molly Caroline Jones of Cookeville, Tennessee, John Christopher Klamm of Carthage, Tennessee, and Jessa Claire Klamm of Carthage, Tennessee. He is also survived by his aunt, Rebecca Dodds of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and his daughter-in-law, Susan Klamm of Carthage, Tennessee. Ronnie treasured his family, and the bonds he shared with them were a source of great pride and comfort throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Allan Jones, and his brother Joe Timothy Jones. Their memories remained a part of his life, and he carried them with him in the years that followed. Though he experienced loss, he continued to move forward with the same quiet resilience that defined him.
Ronnie’s life was one of service, faith, and devotion. He leaves behind a legacy of love for family, commitment to hard work, and appreciation for the blessings of everyday life. He will be remembered for his kind presence, his steadfast character, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. His memory will remain a lasting comfort to his family and friends, who will continue to cherish the time they shared with him.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 11am to 1:30pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday June 2, 2026 at 2:00pm at Collier Family Cemetery in Granville with Bro. Edward L. Anderson officiating.
