GENEVA, N.Y. — The former Geneva police officer who admitted to selling Adderall was sentenced Thursday.

Michael Tapscott will serve 16 weekends in jail starting Friday. He was also sentenced to five years probation. Tapscott sold the Adderall while in uniform and while in a marked police car.

Three other people, including two former Geneva officers, have also been charged in connection to the drug sales.

One of the former officers charged, Nathan Jacon, recently pleaded down to criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was originally charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and official misconduct.
