SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. — The pilot of a plane that crashed at Saratoga County Airport died on Wednesday.
The National Transportation Safety Board says their investigator will begin the process of documenting the scene and examining the aircraft. The plane was a Piper P-28 that was towing a glider.
NBC Albany discovered that plane was part of the Adirondack Soaring Group, which participated in the Glider Flying Cup at the county airport.
The NTSB says a preliminary report is expected in 30 days.
