The Danish Swimming Federation has revealed its 17-strong roster for this year’s European Championships, slated to be held July 31st through August 16th in Paris, France.
The lineup will try to improve upon its remarkable performance at the prior edition two years ago in Serbia, where Denmark achieved its biggest medal haul in eight years.
Medalists from the 2024 European Championships included Helena Rosendahl Bach, reaping gold in the women’s 200m fly, Clara Rybak-Andersen securing women’s 200m breaststroke silver and Julie Kepp Jensen capturing bronze in the women’s 50m freestyle.
Denmark also earned silver in the women’s 4x100m free relay and bronze in the women’s 4x100m medley relay.
This year’s squad includes the aforementioned medalists, along with rising teenager Martine Damborg, the 19-year-old who is a European Junior Championships multi-medalist, as well as a bronze medalist at the World Junior Championships. That latter feat rendered her the first Dane to ever medal at that competition.
