ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say they’re looking for two people as part of an investigation into a shooting that killed a 17-year-old boy nearly four years ago.
The shooting happened on June 12, 2022, outside of Harriet Tubman Estates apartments in the Upper Falls neighborhood. Officers arrived around 7:30 p.m. and found the victim, Jeremiah Baker, shot in the upper body. He died from his injuries soon after arriving at the hospital.
Investigators believe that Baker was the intended target in the shooting. Police say he lived at the apartment community on William Warfield Drive and was on his bike, near the basketball hoop, when the shooting happened. According to RPD, several children were playing basketball when Baker was shot. Baker was a student in the Rochester City School District.
