ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We had a fine day across Western New York this Tuesday. Plenty of sunshine, low humidity, comfortable temperatures, and just a light breeze making for a “Chamber of Commerce” type of day. High pressure has settled over the eastern half of the great lakes and is serving to bring beautiful weather. Wednesday we are watching a cold front which will move across the area, and this will be a dry front, but it will change the wind direction. Winds will turn more northerly which will usher in some cooler temperatures. However, the change will be minor with more sunshine expected.
Tonight, look for fair skies with just some high clouds from time to time. The low temperature will be within a few degrees of 60. Wednesday features more sunshine, but not quite as warm with the temperature in the mid to upper 70s. And it will be even cooler near Lake Ontario. On Thursday, we continue with the mostly sunny skies. The high temperature will only reach the upper 60s.
This appears to be a dry, calm weather pattern which should continue into the weekend. It is possible that the mainly dry weather continues well into the first week of June.
