ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A local group is working to beautify downtown Rochester ahead of Thursday’s 34th annual J.P. Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge.
Walking for Rochester cleaned up litter on Wednesday on Exchange Boulevard and South Plymouth Avenue, along the route of the 3.5-mile race. Walking for Rochester CEO Matt Apple said he wants to make a good impression of Rochester on runners who come from across the region. His son also joined him to help.
“A lot of the runners and participants are not from Rochester, so we want to beautify the area so they feel welcome in our city and have a wonderful event tomorrow,” he said.
The Corporate Challenge starts at 7:15 p.m. on Plymouth Avenue outside the ballpark. The finish line is on Morrie Silver Way, next to the main entrance. People will represent companies and organizations from across the region. You can read more about the race here.
