AVON, N.Y. — Pasta-maker “Barilla,” is expanding its factory in Livingston County.
The company in Avon will invest $145 million in phase one of the project. That will include the construction of a new 52,000 square-foot building to expand its manufacturing operations. This will include one new product and three packaging lines.
Another warehouse will also be built for storage and distribution. According to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s Office, the added space will allow for an installation of a second line in phase two.
The second phase will allow for further expansion.
Barilla expects to create more than 90 new jobs once both phases of the expansion are complete.
