Over $20 million was raised at the 2026 WM Phoenix Open for local charities, marking the fourth consecutive year with record fundraising.
The tournament has raised $134 million in the past decade, including the $20,154,600 this year, to account for more than half of the money raised in its 91-year history ($246 million).
“The WM Phoenix Open continues to show what’s possible when this community comes together behind a greater purpose,” 2026 tournament chairman Jason Eisenberg said in the announcement. “Eclipsing the $20 million mark for the first time — and continuing to build on that year after year — speaks to the dedication of our group, our partners and the greatest fans in golf who make this event what it is.
“The impact of these dollars goes far beyond tournament week, supporting organizations across Arizona and changing lives throughout the year.”
This year’s funds were announced in Phoenix at the Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center, a nonprofit founded in 1981 that works to ensure those with disabilities remain active.
The Thunderbirds, which host the tournament, have awarded nearly $1 million to Ability360 over the past two decades, most recently awarding $250,000 in 2025 to upgrade infrastructure, including scoreboards and shot clocks.
“Ability360 has long appreciated the incredible generosity that the Thunderbirds and Thunderbirds Charities have provided to our organization,” Ability360 president and CEO Chris Rodriguez said. “We value our remarkable relationship with them, and I know that their commitment to our mission will continue to change lives for years to come.”
When will the 2027 WM Phoenix Open be held?
The 92nd edition of the tournament is slated for Feb. 8-14, 2027, at TPC Scottsdale.
It will be the 18th year with WM as the title sponsor, with sustainability and zero-waste efforts at the center of the tournament.
