ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A Yellow Alert remains up Tuesday evening for some storms moving in, a few of which could be strong with gusty winds. We aren’t expecting widespread severe weather, but rain and some thunder will move in after sunset. Our window for active weather will last through about midnight, then the storm threat drops off quickly. Any storm that does become strong may produce some gusty winds and small hail.
Any storm will be long gone by Wednesday morning, but we’ll see some showers lingering through the first part of the day. Some sun will begin to move back in by the afternoon, and it’ll be much cooler following our cold front. Temperatures will hold in the lower 60s on Wednesday, and only in the 50s on Thursday! But Thursday will be a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine, despite the cooler air. Friday also looks pretty good, with dry weather and sun over to some clouds. Temperatures will rebound a little bit.
Memorial Day Weekend unfortunately is not looking great at the moment. Rain will begin to overspread the region on Saturday. We may see a steady rain at times on Saturday, especially during the afternoon. Sunday and Monday will also feature some rain, but at this early point, it looks like Saturday will be the wettest day with a bit of a drying trend as we head through the holiday weekend. This is an early forecast, so there is still room for it to (hopefully) change! Stay tuned…
