Released in early March, the track leads with 900-plus spins across more than 200 monitored stations worldwide in the May 8-14 tracking week, according to World Airplay Radio Monitor.
The song has also found success across Billboard’s U.S.-based charts, spending a week at No. 1 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart (dated May 9) and reaching No. 29 on Pop Airplay and No. 33 on Rhythmic Airplay.
“New Religion” interpolates Faithless’ 1995 song “Insomnia,” which was a Billboard hit in its own right. “New Religion” marks the first WARM Global Dance Radio No. 1 for both Rexha and Faithless since Billboard began publishing the chart in March.
Elsewhere in the chart’s top five, ANOTR’s “Talk to You,” featuring 54 Ultra, falls to No. 2 after spending six weeks at No. 1; FISHER and Tones and I’s “Favour” holds at its No. 3 high; Prospa and Cloonee’s “Free Your Mind” rises 5-4, returning to its peak; and Milky and Mall Grab’s “Just the Way You Are” rises 7-5 after reaching No. 2 in April.
Calvin Harris and Jazzy’s “Satisfy” is the top debut on this week’s chart, at No. 14. Harris spent four weeks at No. 1 on the ranking in March-April with “Release the Pressure,” alongside Kasabian.
Dom Dolla and Tiga’s “Don’t Worry Baby” also debuts in the top 20, at No. 16.
