2026 NCAA qualifier Alexey Glivinsky has announced he will join the Auburn men for the upcoming season. Glivinsky arrived at Texas this spring after flipping his commitment from Michigan to Texas and has three years of eligibility remaining.
Glivinsky originally committed to Michigan but delayed his arrival to the spring semester due to military commitments. In the fall, he then switched his commitment to Texas before arriving for the spring semester.
Just before the 2026 SEC Championships, Glivinsky posted a huge 1:32.23 200 free at the Ohio State Invite, a time that went on to make the cutline for the 2026 NCAA Championships.
A week later, he swam at the 2026 SEC Championships and scored 21 individual points. He swam a 1:33.66 200 free for 17th but his time from the Ohio State Invite would have been 8th. He also swam to a 42.56 100 free for 15th and a 1:45.74 200 fly for 29th.
He went on to swim the 100 free and 200 free at NCAAs, swimming a 42.18 for 32nd in the 100 and a 1:32.49 in the 200 free for 26th. It took a 1:31.62 to score in the 200 free and a 41.56 to score in the 100 free. He was not a member of the Texas relays.
Glivinsky’s Best SCY Times Are:
100 free: 41.86 200 free: 1:32.23 200 IM: 1:43.29 200 fly: 1:45.23The Auburn men finished 5th out of 11 teams at the 2026 SEC Championships with 652 points. Diver Ethan Swart led the way for the team while Abdalla Youssef Nasr led the way for the swimmers with 47 individual points. Nasr has announced he will transfer to Florida for the upcoming season.
Glivinsky is a huge addition to Auburn as he would have led the team in the 100 free and been #2 in the 200 free this past season. Daniel Krichevsky led the team in both events with a 41.87 100 free and a 1:31.87 200 free.
Krichevsky and Glivinsky have a history of being teammates as the two represent Israel at the international level. Last summer at the 2025 World Championships, both helped Israel to an 8th place finish in the men’s 4×200 free relay as well as the men’s 4×100 free relay to a 12th place finish.
