A hands-on look at CASETiFY’s Star Wars collection, featuring the Bounce Case, Mirror Case, Snappy Grip, and Darth Vader AirPods Collector Edition
In case you aren’t aware, I’m a big fan of Star Wars. I could recite every word from the original trilogy growing up. It was the most important thing to me as a kid. The characters, the music, the worlds, and the sense of adventure completely pulled me in from the very beginning. Those movies weren’t just something I watched, they became part of my childhood and shaped so many of the things I still love today.
I’ve continued watching Star Wars movies and shows to this day and I’m super stoked to be able to see The Mandalorian and Grogu this week in the theater. It’s the first time in nearly six and half years that a Star Wars movie has been released to theaters and this time, I get to show off my fandom thanks to CASETiFY’s Star Wars case collection.
About CASETiFY& the Star Wars Co-Lab Collection
Founded in 2011 by Wesley Ng and Ronald Yeung, CASETiFY began as a way for users to turn their Instagram photos into custom phone cases. Over the years, the company evolved from a simple customization platform into one of the most recognizable tech accessory brands in the world, offering everything from phone cases and AirPods covers to chargers, grip stands, laptop sleeves, and smartwatch accessories.
One of the company’s biggest areas of growth has been its Co-Lab program, which launched in 2019. The initiative was designed to bring together artists, entertainment brands, fashion labels, musicians, and pop culture franchises through limited-edition accessory collections. Since then, CASETiFY has partnered with brands and franchises including Pokémon, Pixar, BTS, Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Wicked, and many more. Each of the Co-Lab drops is built on top of CASETiFY’s existing core case models.
The Star Wars Co-Lab Collection celebrates one of the most iconic sci-fi franchises ever created with accessories inspired by legendary characters, ships, symbols, and moments from across the galaxy. From Darth Vader and the Death Star to R2-D2 and classic Rebel and Imperial imagery, the collection blends fandom with CASETiFY’s signature modern accessory designs. The lineup includes cases, AirPods accessories, magnetic stands, chargers, and collectible pieces designed for longtime Star Wars fans who want to carry a little bit of that galaxy far, far away with them every day.
I was recently sent these amazing products so that I could emphasize my love of the Star Wars brand while keeping my most valuable tech products safe and sound.
R2-D2 Bounce Case MagSafe Compatible for iPhone 17 Pro Max Star Wars Aircrafts Pattern Mirror Case with MagSafe for iPhone 17 Pro Max The Death Star Snappy™ Grip Stand Darth Vader 3D AirPods Case Collector EditionR2D2 Bounce Case MagSafe Compatible
The R2D2 case is built on the Bounce Case MagSafe Compatible, one of CASETiFY’s most protective designs. The Bounce Case is known for its heavy-duty construction, featuring oversized reinforced corner bumpers, a multi-layer shock-absorbing build, raised edges for screen and camera protection, and MagSafe compatibility for wireless charging and accessories. It’s designed to prioritize drop protection and durability while still supporting CASETiFY’s customization and design-first approach.
It is considered a mid-weight case that offers extreme protection for the iPhone. The Bounce Case is MagSafe-compatible and works with wireless charging accessories and the CASETiFY Snappy Grip Stand.
The R2D2 customization of the Bounce Case is done really well. The main body of the case has a white finish on it and embellishments that mimic the design that R2D2 has on his body. The case design provides a very nice, clean design that is fun to show off.
While the R2D2 case is fantastic looking, all four corners feature the ‘bounce corner’, which is designed to absorb and disperse impact when the device is dropped. There are cutouts on each corner which allows users to personalize their phone and case with charms, keychains, or straps. As much as I love the look of this case, the bounce corners make it difficult for me to slide my phone in and out of my pocket when it’s in this case.
The R2D2 Case • Bounce Case MagSafe Compatible has a list price of $74 on casetify.com.
Star Wars™ Aircrafts Pattern Mirror Ring Stand Case MagSafe Compatible
The Aircrafts Pattern case is built on the Mirror Ring Stand Case MagSafe Compatible, which is designed to combine everyday protection with added hands-free functionality through a built-in kickstand ring. The Mirror Case with Ring Stand is considered a mid-weight case with basic protection. It has a glossy reflective back paired with shock-absorbing edges and reinforced bumper corners for drop protection. MagSafe compatibility is built in, allowing it to work with wireless charging and magnetic accessories without removing the case.
The Aircrafts Pattern design features a multitude of ships from the Star Wars movies. The graphics are fantastic. This case, unlike the Bounce Case, does fit well in my pockets and the camera ring stand is an added bonus. I always like it when a case is more than a case and the fact that this one plays double-duty by protecting the phone and providing an efficient way to stand up the phone is excellent
Unlike other cases I’ve used with kickstands, this one doesn’t feel like it’s made from cheap plastic. If you didn’t notice the frame around the camera, you might not even realize the kickstand is there, since it blends in so well and feels like part of the case rather than an add-on.
The Star Wars™ Aircrafts Pattern Case • Mirror Ring Stand Case MagSafe Compatible has a list price of $78 on casetify.com.
The Death Star Snappy Grip Stand Snappy™ Mirror Grip Stand MagSafe Compatible
The Death Star Snappy Grip is a MagSafe-compatible accessory that serves as both a secure finger loop and a kickstand. It supports multiple viewing angles in both portrait and landscape mode, making it useful for streaming, video calls, or hands-free browsing. When folded flat, it stays slim enough to slide easily into a pocket or sit flush against the phone.
This type of grip stand is something I’ve never had interest in until now. Robyn, our co-founder, has an obsession with these things and I don’t think she can use her phone anymore without one. I can’t think of a better design to add to this type of accessory than the Death Star. It took a fully operational battle station embossed onto a Snappy Grip for me to finally try one.
I’ve really enjoyed using it and think it’s a useful accessory, but it does have one downside. I use a MagSafe stand and charger a lot throughout the day so each time I go to charge my phone, I have to pop the Snappy Grip off the phone since there is no way for passthrough charging to occur.
The Death Star Snappy Grip Stand • Snappy™ Mirror Grip Stand MagSafe Compatible has a list price of $32 on casetify.com.
Darth Vader™ 3D AirPods Case: Collector’s Edition
Now, this next item is truly unique. It’s a case for AirPods that has a custom-made stand that looks like Darth Vader’s head. When you open the stand, there is a place to store your AirPods and the helmet makes a Darth Vader breathing sound. This case was designed as both a functional AirPods holder and a collectible display item.
Honestly, it feels more like a display piece than a functional storage stand for your AirPods. The main reason I say that is because you can only open the helmet from the back. So if you have it sitting on your desk facing you, you would have to turn it around so that you can access your AirPods easily. It looks awesome, but I think the functional design could be improved. I’d much rather see it open from the front like a Pez dispenser.
The Darth Vader™ 3D AirPods Case: Collector’s Edition has a list price of $98 on casetify.com.
Conclusion
All in all the Star Wars Co-Lab collection from CASETiFY is outstanding. The attention to detail with all the products is incredible and if you’re a Star Wars fan, it is something to take a close look at. Now it’s time to get ready for the movie.
This is the way.
